Tell us about where you live and work?
I live and work in Brasilia, Capital of Brazil, in a beautiful house with my wife and son. The house is surrounded by tall trees and we're visited daily by many types of birds. Trees bring life and happiness.
If you could illustrate any book, what would it be?
I'd love to illustrate stories about inclusion. Specially in poetry. Metaphors fuel creativity.
What three words would you use to describe your role as an Illustrator?
Beauty Seduces Readers
What advice would you give to new illustrators?
Watch BBC documentaries about Picasso and Matisse on youtube "Masters of Modern Age". They knew how to draw but had to change to adapt to 20th century. We have to do the same for 21st century. First step is to learn how to draw. You'll demolish it later but must carry this base for ever.
If you could have any superhero power, what power would you have and why?
I'd love to have super knowledge! I'd pass this onto others. We'd abolish ignorance, superficiality, selfishness and live a better life.

Dusan Lakicevic did an outstanding job illustrating my book. He dutifully followed detailed art specifications and magnificently portrayed a diverse cast of characters. He also created the exciting scenes necessary to draw in and support developing readers. Having worked with dozens of illustrators in educational publishing, I’m happy to attest to Dusan’s engaging style and impressive artistic talent. He’s one of the best!Ann Gianola - Author of The Stolen Pharaoh for Delta Publishing UK
