Hi! I’m Andrea Castro, an illustrator and visual storyteller based in Bogotá, Colombia. I work with publishers and clients around the world creating illustrations for picture books, editorial projects, and character-driven visual storytelling.
I love drawing slightly goofy characters with very silly faces, and I enjoy hiding little details in my illustrations — the kind you might not notice at first, but that are waiting there for curious eyes. Many of my ideas come from everyday life, which means that if I know you, there’s a good chance you might appear in one of my drawings… either as the main character or as a random background extra.
When I’m not drawing, I’m usually running, swimming, hiking up mountains or spending time with my tiny tribe of three: Lolo, Boo, and me.
